Personalize Your Smart Speaker Responses

If multiple people share a Google Nest speaker, Google Assistant needs to know who is speaking to read the correct calendar events, personal playlists, and reminders. Google Voice Match analyzes your vocal profile to ensure your Nest Hub only displays your personal information. Here is how to configure it.

How to Set Up Voice Match

  1. Open the Google Home App on your smartphone.
  2. Tap your **Profile Picture** in the top right corner.
  3. Tap Assistant Settings > Voice Match.
  4. Tap Add Devices and select the Google Nest speakers you want to link.
  5. Follow the prompts to speak phrases like “Ok Google” and “Hey Google” to train the model.
