Step-by-Step Guide to Subscription-Free Security Storage
Eufy security cameras are popular because they do not require a monthly subscription. Instead, they record your video history locally to a HomeBase station or a micro SD card. Here is how to configure local storage on your Eufy cameras for maximum security and performance.
Method A: Setting Up a Micro SD Card
- Buy a high-end Class 10 microSD card (up to 128GB). High-endurance cards are recommended for security video.
- Locate the rubber flap on your Eufy camera and insert the card into the slot.
- Open the Eufy Security app, select your camera, and go to Storage Info > Format to prepare the card.
Method B: Connecting to Eufy HomeBase 3
- Connect your HomeBase 3 to your router via Ethernet.
- Open the app, tap Add Device, and select HomeBase.
- Sync your Eufy cameras to the HomeBase. All video recordings will now be saved securely to the HomeBase’s internal storage inside your house.
