Step-by-Step Guide to Subscription-Free Security Storage

Eufy security cameras are popular because they do not require a monthly subscription. Instead, they record your video history locally to a HomeBase station or a micro SD card. Here is how to configure local storage on your Eufy cameras for maximum security and performance.

Method A: Setting Up a Micro SD Card

  1. Buy a high-end Class 10 microSD card (up to 128GB). High-endurance cards are recommended for security video.
  2. Locate the rubber flap on your Eufy camera and insert the card into the slot.
  3. Open the Eufy Security app, select your camera, and go to Storage Info > Format to prepare the card.

Method B: Connecting to Eufy HomeBase 3

  1. Connect your HomeBase 3 to your router via Ethernet.
  2. Open the app, tap Add Device, and select HomeBase.
  3. Sync your Eufy cameras to the HomeBase. All video recordings will now be saved securely to the HomeBase’s internal storage inside your house.
